Excavator License Without Prior Knowledge: Is a Career Change Possible?
Excavator License Without Prior Knowledge: Is a Career Change Possible?
Yes, it's possible. No prior knowledge is required for the excavator license. Whether you come from a different profession, have just graduated, or want to change your career – the entry is always open. The training system at Baggerschule1 is designed for beginners and guides you step by step through the topic.
Requirements: What You Need
To participate in the course, you must be at least 18 years old and bring a valid ID. There are no further formal requirements. You don't need any prior knowledge in the construction industry, no machinery knowledge, and no driving license. The course starts from scratch and leads you up to the exam.
How the Course Works
You will acquire the theory online at kurs.baggerschule1.de. The course consists of 12 chapters with more than 70 lessons. You learn at your own pace and can repeat the lessons. The course is available in 14 languages, so you can complete it in your native language. After the theory, there is the theory exam. Once you pass this, you can book the practical day – a day where you practice on the excavator under supervision and take the exam.
What Does the Career Change Cost?
The price is €499 per participant. This includes the complete online theory, the theory exam, the practical day with exam, and the DGUV certificate. There are no hidden costs or additional payments. Payment can be made via PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Career Change vs. Transition
A career change means starting completely without experience. This is the norm at Baggerschule1. If you already have experience with construction machinery, for example as an assistant or on construction sites, you can go through the theory faster, but you are still welcome. The course is structured to work for both groups.
